Megan believes in a collaborative approach that meets the person seeking therapy, where they are at, and that views them as the expert of their own experiences. She utilizes an empowerment approach as a way to work alongside people as they navigate their goals and recovery. Megan is a believer that each person has unique strengths that are best supported by her tailoring her practice to them. Megan graduated from the University at Buffalo with a masters degree in Social Work.
During her graduate studies, Megan interned, in Rochester NY, in a Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Program for Eating Disorders. Megan provided patients with therapeutic meal support, while facilitating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy group, body image group, and coping skills group. Following her internship she worked in an Outpatient setting for Eating Disorders, conducting individual therapy, group therapy and family sessions. Megan then transitioned to the Intake Clinician role where she conducted evaluations for the Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient programs for Eating Disorders.

Megan is additionally licensed as a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of New York. Having experience working with Eating Disorders at differing levels of care has provided Megan insight into effective interventions, treatment approaches, and building connections. These experiences have increased her desire to provide a strengths-based and person-centered approach in collaboration with those that work with her. In addition to her experience working with Eating Disorders, Megan has experience and focuses in Anxiety and Adjustment Disorders. Megan oftens uses interventions such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT); Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP); Strengths-Based Therapy; and Motivational Interviewing (MI)
