Alyssa Milsap MS, RD, CD

Dietitian

Alyssa is a Registered Dietitian who received her Bachelor of Science degree in Community-Medical Dietetics from Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin. As a coordinated program, Alyssa completed her internship hours together with her coursework. She gained experience in a variety of areas including clinical dietetics, community dietetics and food service.  She also gained valuable experience interning at an eating disorder residential facility-providing group and individual nutrition counseling. It was this experience that solidified Alyssa’s passion of working with individuals struggling with eating disorders, supporting them in their recovery journey.  Alyssa went on to complete her Master’s degree in Applied Nutrition from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY.

Alyssa strives to teach clients the art of mindful and intuitive eating. She utilizes medical nutrition therapy to provide evidenced-based treatment for a variety of eating disorders and disordered eating. She uses an individualized, client-centered, HAES/body positive approach, to guide clients towards building a positive relationship with food and their body.

What made you decide to go into this specialty?

I have always had an interest in working with eating disorders and a passion for nutrition. When I learned that dietetics would allow for me to combine two passions, I was sold! As I continue in my professional career, I take great pride in helping individuals and families navigate the difficult road of an eating disorder. I am humbled to be on this journey with you.  I have great passion for supporting people in dismantling diet culture and body image messaging and regaining trust their own body.
